History of the product

We wanted to bring the Siberian forests into your home and it is rather successful! This suspension design will bring you light, it goes without saying, but will also bring a touch of nature and plant quite remarkable. This belt of birch bark is worked flat; without chemical treatment or adhesive, only thanks to laser cutting. Assembled by hand, it is also available as a table lamp.

By reclaiming gestures from the past, Anastasyia wanted to revive this work culture of a unique material, with astonishing properties of elasticity and durability. A fine example of craftsmanship applied to Design!

The designer

Anastasiya Koshcheeva is a young designer from Krasnoyarsk, Siberia. After studying in this big and beautiful city of Russia. Anastasyia decided to settle in 2006 in Germany, in Berlin, where she launches her studio of manufacturing of objects of decoration and small furniture, with a permanent nod to its origins.

She decides to highlight the secular processes of her ancestors applied to everyday objects. Curious, she develops a technique of conservation of the bark to use it as a coating. She will make this project her signature. Exploring the object and valuing its properties remains his passion. His creations are full of tradition and modernity.
