The designer

Ines Martinho

Tomar, Portugal

An observer by nature with a clinical eye for detail, designer Inês Martinho admits that much of her work is influenced by the 40s and 50s, mainly by some design greats like Jean Prouvé or Charles and Ray Eames. To Inês, history is always the starting point from which to look at the market's latest trends.

A graduate student from IADE-U – Institute of Art, Design and Enterprise – University- in Lisbon, she was awarded the school Revelation Award in 2009.
So far, she has had a rich and diverse career, with a special highlight being the two years she spent as a product developer at a high-end German furniture company located in Munich.
